Can someone tell me how a hybrid car works?

I don’t quite understand about how it runs with a battery pack part of the time and on gas part of the time.

    Hybrid just means two power sources. Go to any search engine, and input “How a hybrid car works”

    These are the results I got. Showing 1-10 of 16,700,000 for how a hybrid car works. Yep, over 16 MILLION hits.

    “Hybrid” just means that there are more than one power source and There are several ‘types’ of Hybrid cars. example; mild, full, parallel, serial, plug in… and even some alternative fuel vehicles are considered “Hybrid”
